These hardy animals are primarily reared in a free-range system, demonstrating incredible efficiency by thriving on natural grazing with minimal concentrated feeding.

General Characteristics

  • Type: Dual-purpose (Milk & Draft).
  • Temperament: Remarkably docile and easy to handle.

Feature Description
Coat Color Predominantly Whitish; also seen in Black, Brown, and Grey.
Horns Present in both sexes; broad base, tapering to a sharp inward point.
Head & Ears Medium, upright head with small, horizontally positioned ears.
Udder Bowl-shaped with prominent milk veins; shrinks significantly after milking.
Tail Long and elegant, almost touching the ground.
Maturity Early developers, attaining maturity at 26–30 months.

Binjharpuri cows are celebrated for their milk quality. High-performing animals can yield 4–5 liters per day.
