- To promote quality Artificial Insemination (AI) services at village level and farmer’s door step for organised breeding.
- To mobilise resources from various sources to foster the cause of cattle development through breeding management.
- To increase productivity of Milch Animals through Artificial Insemination programme and using other advanced reproductive technologies
- To get assured female calves through use of Sex Sorted Semen of High Genetic Merit (HGM) Bulls
- To preserve native germplasm through Breed Conservation
- To enhance fertility of milch animals through organization of Infertility camps
- To act as State Implementing Agency for successful implementation of breeding related schemes of Govt of India
