Maintenance of cryo cold chain is being promptly taken up by the society at Frozen Semen Station and field institutions through uninterrupted supply of Liquid Nitrogen. About 12, 53,401 litres of Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) was distributed to field AI centers from Frozen Semen Station. Khapuria, Cuttack during the year 2017-18. Arrangements have been made by providing transport vehicles to different districts for intra-district transportation of LN2.

The condition of Liquid Nitrogen containers are being supervised time to time for preservation of semen straws. Containers (Transportation/Storage and Biological) of various capacities were being supplied and replaced time to time, to prevent the cessation of services to farmers.

The Frozen semen Bank, Cuttack is the nodal agency for procurement and distribution of Liquid Nitrogen in the state. Besides supplying LN2 to the departmental institutions, different milk unions that belongs to OMFED, and other Govt. and Private Institutions are also receiving LN2 from this institution. Presently for successful implementation of AI programme in the state, the annual requirement of 25 lakh lts. of LN2 (approx) is procured from industrial sources i.e. Ms. Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases Ltd, Kolkata and being delivered to thirty districts through seven delivery points like FSB, Cuttack, Chipilima, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Koraput and Kalahandi. The section is equipped with a 10 KL vertical tanker, 5 KL horizontal tanker and LN2 delivery system.
